FAQ - Frequently asked questions

  • How do I become a customer of InterXS?

You become a customer by choosing one of our offers, checking if it is available for you and then simply ordering online. Once you have successfully completed the ordering process, the first 2 months are payable in advance. Once we receive your payment, the activation process begins and you become an InterXS customer.

  • What do I have to consider when switching to InterXS?

You can find information on this at Switch Internet.

  • How do I receive my invoice?

You will automatically receive a PDF invoice by e-mail every month.

If you are a new customer, you will receive your first invoice directly by email after completing your registration. This cost is the first two months of your subscription + any connection/activation fee. After you have paid this first invoice, your InterXS subscription will be activated.

  • What payment options are available?

We currently offer two payment methods: Paypal or bank transfer (QR).

If you pay via Paypal, we will send you a monthly request for payment via Paypal. You will automatically receive a PDF invoice by email every month.

If you choose to pay by bank transfer, we will send you the monthly subscription fee. You can also set up a standing order, which makes it easier for you.

  • Who can help me with questions or problems?

You can contact the InterXS support team by phone, email or contact form in eight languages. You can find the contact details on the pages Support or Contact.

Are you already a customer and have a question about your current subscription or do you have a malfunction? Then please log in to MyInterXS and use our support page. After filling out the support form, your question will be answered as soon as possible by the InterXS team.

FAQ - Questions to our tariffs

  • What is the ideal internet tariff for me?

This depends on user behaviour and the number of people in your flat or holiday home. If you are alone, 50 Mbit/s is normally sufficient. If three or four people use the internet or for online gamers, we recommend an internet speed of at least 100 Mbit/s.

We have the right internet offer for every situation, whether it's a affordable subscription or pay-as-you-go.

  • Why are InterXS Internet subscriptions so affordable?

In recent years we have created the most modern and efficient IT infrastructure in Switzerland. This is the basis for our affordable internet subscriptions.

  • Which InterXS tariffs are available in my location?

To find out, use the availability checker on our site. This accesses a central Swiss database and is completely up-to-date.

Based on the address you enter, we show you on the website the internet tariffs available in your location.

  • In which countries does InterXS offer its services?

At the moment, InterXS only offers its products and packages in Switzerland. There are no plans now to develop our services into other countries.

FAQ - Technical questions

  • Is it complicated to set up the internet at home?

No, not at all. No technical knowledge is required. We set up the Internet line completely remotely, via the telephone line in the case of DSL and via the fibre optic line in the case of fibre. No on-site service appointment is necessary.

After your online order, you will usually receive a high-quality WiFi router from us by post within 2-3 working days.

  • Can I also get a WiFi router from you?

Yes, of course. With all our tariffs, you will receive a high-quality WiFi router from us sent to your Swiss address by parcel post. It usually takes between 2-3 working days for the router to reach you.

This is a loan device. If you have cancelled your tariff with us, you must send this WiFi router back to us.

  • Who sets up my WiFi router?

With our InterXS Internet tariffs, you will receive a high-quality WiFi router suitable for the respective connection technology from us sent to your Swiss address by parcel post.

You will receive a step-by-step guide from InterXS with your router, so that you can quickly set up the router via the user-friendly web interface.

If you need help, our Support Team will assist you quickly and easily.

  • Do I get DSL or fibre optic internet with InterXS?

Both. It all depends on your internet connection at home. If your address already has a fibre optics connection, then you will also receive fibre optics internet from InterXS.

If not, the Internet will be provided via DSL. Thanks to the good technology in Switzerland, this is usually not a big disadvantage in terms of speed.

  • How is DSL Internet access set up?

The DSL Internet line is established completely by us remotely via the telephone line. No on-site service appointment is necessary.

After your online order, you will usually receive a WiFi router from us by post within 2-3 working days. Set up the router with the enclosed step-by-step instructions and your Internet is ready for use.

  • How can I check if I have a fibre connection?

If you are not sure whether fibre is available at your address, use the availability checker on our site. This accesses a central Swiss database and is always up to date.

Based on the address you provide, we will show you the internet tariffs available at your location on the website.

  • How is the fibre optic internet access set up?

Unlike DSL Internet via the conventional telephone cable, a fibre-optic connection to your location is a prerequisite for a connection. Households that are already connected with fibre optics have a fibre optic socket.

The fibre optic internet access is then established remotely, no on-site service appointment is necessary.
